About Julie Hannon
Julie Hannon worked in the UK for five years and the West Coast of the USA for thirteen years. She is qualified in Montessori and Steiner education and has worked for several years in both fields. She also has a degree in Fine Art from the Crawford College of Art in Cork.
She has a particular interest in disciplines that favour thinking ‘outside the box’ – looking at the big picture, seeing the whole person and shying away from ‘labelling’. Her focus is on ‘nourishment ‘, gentle enhancement tools, physical, psychological and spiritual. Some of her ongoing studies are with Cranial Sacral Therapy, HANDLE (Holistic Approach to Neuro Developmental and Learning Efficiency), ‘Herbs’ in the Wise Woman Tradition’ and wholefoods, as in the Weston A. Price Foundation.
Julie began experimenting with sensory products when an occupational therapist friend approached her – as she was having difficulty sourcing suitable products locally. She asked Julie to make a beanbag type product for her and the rest, as they say ‘is history’.
